Seller Fee Calculator

Mercari vs eBay vs Depop fees

The cheapest platform depends on your price, your shipping and your category. Enter one sale and compare all eight platforms at once.

What do you want to know?

The starting numbers are an example, not market data. Replace them with your own. Sales tax matters because eBay, Etsy, Depop and Whatnot charge part of their fees on it. US sellers and US marketplaces only.

Pro: profit tracking across every platform

Upload the sales CSVs you already export from eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, TikTok Shop and Whatnot. Pro matches each sale to its fees and your item cost and shows true profit per item, per platform and per month in one table. It also emails you when a platform you sell on changes its fees.

This is an early project. We will only email you about the Pro version.

Mercari vs eBay

Mercari charges 10% on item plus shipping. eBay charges 13.6% in most categories on item, shipping and sales tax, plus $0.40 per order. On the example sale Mercari takes $4.80 and eBay $7.38.

Mercari vs Depop

Depop charges US sellers only payment processing, 3.3% + $0.45 on the total, so on most sales it takes less than Mercari: $2.14 against $4.80 on the example. A boosted Depop sale adds 12%.

Where Poshmark fits

Poshmark's 20% looks high, but the buyer pays shipping, so compare on payout rather than fee: $32.00 on Poshmark against $43.20 on Mercari for the same $40 item.
