Seller Fee Calculator

What price do I need to list at?

Enter the profit you want from a sale and your costs. The calculator works backwards through each platform's fees and shows the lowest list price that gets you there.

What do you want to know?

The starting numbers are an example, not market data. Replace them with your own. Sales tax matters because eBay, Etsy, Depop and Whatnot charge part of their fees on it. US sellers and US marketplaces only.

Pro: profit tracking across every platform

Upload the sales CSVs you already export from eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, TikTok Shop and Whatnot. Pro matches each sale to its fees and your item cost and shows true profit per item, per platform and per month in one table. It also emails you when a platform you sell on changes its fees.

This is an early project. We will only email you about the Pro version.

How the price is worked out

For each platform we search for the lowest item price, to the cent, where price plus shipping minus fees minus your costs reaches your target. Fees that depend on price, like Poshmark's $15 line or eBay's $150 sneaker rate, are included.

Example

To make $15 profit on an item that cost $10, with $8 shipping charged and $8 postage and 7% tax, you would list at $31.09 on eBay, $31.25 on Poshmark and $28.67 on Mercari.

Questions

Why is the list price higher than cost plus profit?

Fees are a percentage of the price, so raising the price to cover fees also raises the fees. The calculator accounts for that.

Does it include shipping?

Yes. The shipping you charge counts toward your payout and your postage counts against profit, except on Poshmark and Vinted where the buyer pays the label.
